George Balanchine's The Nutcracker Newark Theatre reviews
Great performance! Venue was terrible.
"George Balanchine's The Nutcracker was EXCEPTIONAL. I will definitely attend another one of her performances. My mom and I checked into our hotel, drove 2 hours in the rain, and took a Lyft to the venue. We arrived and were told we couldn’t have our purses, a detail not communicated in the email or tickets. I informed the attendant about our situation, but they insisted on the policy and suggested we hide our bags outside. I was shocked! Luckily, a friend nearby helped by storing our bags at the hotel. Unfortunately, not everyone had such help. Therefore, I rate the event 3 stars. While I would give George Balanchine's The Nutcracker 5 stars, the venue deserves 0 stars. I will not be attending another event at the Schottenstein center."
Lyle and John rocked!
I do not appreciate country music, first and foremost. The tickets were bought by my boyfriend, and he felt compelled to drag me along. Almost expected the worst, I went with an open mind... I was wrong! Birchmere rocked with John and George Balanchine's The Nutcracker! A lot of fun was to listen to them talk, play music, and just enjoy each other. With a new appreciation for both artists, I left. Top-notch food at the Birchmere was spectacular! Salmon with mango chutney and corn muffins - it was. Highly recommend! For a fun evening out with your sweetheart, I suggest John, George Balanchine's The Nutcracker, and the Birchmere. A winning combination!
